They’ve advertised it as fast charging, but it’s important to note that that fast-charging capability – which Baseus clocks in at 1.4x the speed of standard wireless chargers is only compatible with the Samsung Galaxy line, including the Note 8, Note 5, S6 Edge, S7, and the S7 edge and wireless phone charger for android. They’ve taken that charging to even greater levels by equipping this thing with enlarged copper wires arranged in a large oval shape, a configuration they claim is optimized. They’ve even equipped those chips to register surge protection and temperature regulation. Add that to the fact that the holder itself, which connects via the air vent, is a one-handed, gravity-based clamp that grabs/releases your phone automatically, and you’ve got a pretty versatile charger that could even beat many of the non-charging, event-based car holders out there.

Wireless chargers are great, but it’s important to get a model that doesn’t overheat or overcharge your phone as this can cause lasting damage to the battery. The RAVPower delivers one of the fastest charging speeds on the market thanks to an overheat guard system that protects against overcharging, overcurrent, and overvoltage. The device is compatible with the latest iPhone and Samsung Galaxy models. This charger allows you to charge your phone in both landscape or portrait mode. It holds your phone upright with an anti-slip rubber rim around the bottom edge to keep your device firmly in place as it charges. The only downside to the RAVPower is that it can’t charge through metal cases, or cases thicker than 3mm, so if you have one of those you’ll have to take it off before you juice up.

The Pixel Stand is definitely a splurge-worthy item, and it doesn’t necessarily meet the needs of every Android user. However, if you happen to be a proud Pixel 3 user, then it would be a considerable waste to miss out on buying this wireless charger.

We bought seven top-rated wireless phone chargers that our reviewers tested for more than 150 hours by using daily for weeks on end. We asked our testers to consider the most important features when using these chargers, from their speed to their design. We’ve outlined the key takeaways here so that you, too, know what to look for when shopping.

What we must see in a Wireless Phone Charger?

Charging Speed: Time is precious and you can’t always afford to sit around and wait for your phone to charge up. The iPhone has a standard fast-charge speed of 7.5W, but Android devices have more, so if you have one of those, choose a charger that puts out 9W. Also, you’ll want to use a fast-charge model with a 2.0 or 3.0 USB adapter to guarantee the speediest charging time.

Compatibility:  Before you spring for a wireless charger, make sure it’s compatible with your model. Now the most newer phones come equipped with built-in wireless charging capabilities. If you buy a “fast wireless charging” option, but your phone doesn’t support that, you can often still charge most Qi-enabled devices at regular speed, it may hurt you. Also, be sure to check if the charger is compatible with your phone case, so you don’t have to pry it off every time you want to juice up.

We impressed with the affordable price and portable size of the Yootech Wireless Charger. It is inexpensive, and the long cable makes it easy to use almost anywhere. On the other hand, it was slower to charge than some of its competitors: Once we placed the phone on the stand, and it charged to 100% in just over three hours, which is a bit longer than other chargers we’ve tested. Overall, though,  this was a great budget-friendly option for anyone with a compatible phone.
